  • Network User Proposal for Whole System

  • Register your Whole System proposal by completing the form submission found at the bottom of this page, where you can also upload a file should you have additional supporting content. Once you submit your proposal, it will undergo an initial review within the SSEN Whole System team to ensure we fully grasp the potential of the proposal. From here it will either be progressed by that team, or if it can be delivered through existing processes such as New Connections or Flexible Solutions it will be re-directed to the relevant team. After your proposal gets allocated, we aim to respond to you within 30 days to provide you with an update.

Flexible Solutions - responsible for rolling out Flexible Connections across SSEN and Flexible Services across both SSEN’s distribution licence areas. The Flexible Solutions Team provide SSEN customers with alternative options to reinforcement for their connection applications, as well as provide Flexible Services to SSEN to assist with balancing the load of the network and maintain security of supply to customers.

SSEN Innovation – The Innovation Team, also known as Future Networks, identifies opportunities to develop and trial innovative technologies, practices and commercial arrangements. Innovation provides the potential to improve our business and benefit our customers by aiming to create a more effective and efficient network for providing energy to all customers.

DSO Transition - To accommodate the changes that will enable net zero, we are transitioning from operating as a Distribution Network Operator (DNO), to become a Distribution System Operator (DSO). We are putting customers and communities at the heart of the process and ensuring best value for money.
